“From God’s Word to Our Heart!”

Dr. Kinney Wallace

During this week of Revival let us seek the Lord our God with all our hearts and know that He will be found by us as He promised. He is still listening at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. Amen!

“How to find God?”

Jeremiah 29:11-13

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me, and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

The people of Jerusalem had been in captivity in Babylon because of their sins against God. Jeremiah the prophet of God is also a captive with those from Jerusalem. God speaks to Jeremiah concerning the future of His people in Babylon and gives to them a promise and a hope. God reveals to Jeremiah that Judah’s captivity in Babylon will last for seventy years, and then God will judge Babylon and bring back Judah to Jerusalem again. God gives Jeremiah a great promise for His people as they will be released from Babylon and return to Jerusalem.

God tells Jeremiah that Judah will do two things:

(1) Then you will call upon Me

(2) And go and pray to Me

God gives Jeremiah a promise on His part:

(1) I will listen

(2) And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for

Me with all your heart.

Would you really like to “find God?” You can find God when you seek for Him with all your heart! He will listen and He will answer and give you a future and a hope when you and I seek Him with all our hearts.
