THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD!

2 Timothy 4:17-18
But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His Heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
Do you believe that God is always faithful? Even though we are not faithful, we can never say that God is not faithful. He always is and never fails to be faithful. As the song writer said:
“Great is thy faithfulness.
Great is thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning new mercies l see.
All I have needed thy hands have
provided.
Great is thy faithfulness Lord unto me.”
As the Apostle Paul was nearing the end of his life, when everyone else had forsaken him, Paul knew that the Lord was faithful.
Paul said:
“The Lord stood with me and strengthened me….”
“I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.” i.e. the king of Rome. “ He will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His Heavenly Kingdom.
”Yes, God is faithful. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God does not change. We may change. We may not be faithful, but God is always faithful. He is faithful in the morning! He is faithful at evening! He is faithful in the night! He never fails. God is the only one of whom it may be said, “He is always…….”
When you and I have finished our race, when we have fought the good fight, when our time of departure is come and we look back over our lives as Paul did, can we say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith?”
One thing we can say is, “God has been faithful. God has never failed me!” Amen!
