LIVE NATIVITY AND DRIVE-THRU BETHLEHEM VILLAGE

posted Sep 10, 2013, 12:49 PM by Sherry Hinson
We at Mineral Springs invite you to join us this December for a memorable family experience.
Friday & Saturday nights Dec. 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th 6:00-8:00pm.

Come see the Nativity Story brought to life this Christmas season at Mineral Springs Baptist Church! This Drive-Through experience will touch your heart with the real meaning of Christmas. See the Shepherds, Wise Men, Angels, and Holy Family (complete with a REAL Baby Jesus) that changed history forever. See the Citizens of Bethlehem as they hustle an
d bustle though the streets of their busy little town, unaware of the miracle occurring right down the street in the stable! Live animals, authentic-looking costumes, Christmas lights, and most of all, the greatest gift ever given, Jesus!

This event is free to the public, so load up your family and friends in your vehicle and join us as we step back in time to Bethlehem.

An event of this nature takes much hard work and planning. We would like to thank Amanda Griffey
( Christmas pageant coordinator) for all her efforts. She is well underway. If anyone would like to help with this outreach project, Amanda has made a list of things that would be useful...........

We will be needing a lot of supplies to make this event happen! Please consider donating or lending the following items, and this list will be frequently updated as supplies come in:

Lumber: 2x4s, 1/4" Luan, 3/4" plywood
Paint: Latex black, cream or off-white, and brown
Cloth: large bolts of cloth in plain, stripes, or middle-eastern looking prints, old table cloths, old curtains (no lace, please!), or fabric to make costumes
Production materials: flood lights, plastic tarps, space heaters, sandbags, Lowes or Walmart gift cards
Decorative items: rustic/primative pottery and baskets, fake bread/food, oriental carpets, silk plants (palm trees/exotic plants), old-world or middle-eastern looking lanterns, old rope (natural), fake coins
